The Music

The sounds of this new identity of this musical Team can be best described as “ear-friendly” and creates a chill-out mood with the cross- over multiple genres such as pop, soul, jazzy groove and little bluesy rock and roll, topped with the charm and sultry voice of Syaharani.

SQf unfolds a fresh ambient to every music lover, to keep one awake, positive and cheerful in sharing and facing life and its problems. Happiness, romance, thoughtfulness, all are poured into this one. This is Syaharani and Queenfireworks’ way of entertaining.”

About SQf

SQf is a musical creative team that has worked on many kinds of musical creations and productions, such as live show entertainments, album production, film score, and art and musical performances. Each member has a different taste of music, but they are united by the same point of view: simplicity.

The Queenfireworks is now associated with three “E’s”: easy, entertaining, and everlasting.

In 2006, a brand new album was launched under the name “Syaharani and the Queenfireworks”, entitled “Buat Kamu” (For You).

The Founder of SQf

Syaharani

A professional entertainer with three solo jazz albums to date, Syaharani represented Indonesia in North Sea Jazz Festival 2001. She also produced a trip-hop album entitled “Magma” in 2002. In her vast career, she has performed in duets with many international stars such as Al Jarreau, Dave Koz, Keith Martin and played in many tours and festivals, most notably during the annual Java Jazz Festival (2005,2007-8)and the Yellow Jackets Indonesia tour 2006.

She began expanding her talents by performing in theatrical musical acts (“Madame Dasima” and “Gallery of Kisses”), in a movie (“Garasi” by Miles Film) and also wrote the theme song and lent her vocals for the movie “Betina” (by 9 Palm Film). The movie won the NETPAC Award in Asia Film Festival 2006.

Syaharani wrote the lyrics, arranged the music, produced and executive produced SQf’s album “Buat Kamu”.

Producing Team Partner:

Ahmad Fareed

Ahmad Fareed, also known as “Didit” or “Outer DJ” is one of the founders of “Plastik Band”, a band with many hits in rock n roll and the alternative genre. Didit is a multi-instrumentalist with a warm, bluesy touch who has produced some junior bands and recording projects.

Didit was responsible for the music programming, music arranging, sound designing and co-producing SQf’s album “Buat Kamu”.

Donni Soehendra

This former guitarist of “Krakatau Band” is a very well-known guitar master and has been around the world attending festivals. Donni’s dedication to guitar is evident by being active in musical clinic, lending his talent in coaching, doing performances, as well as being a guitar teacher and a guitar-school curriculum concept maker. In 2000, he released his solo album “Perjalanan” (The Voyage).

Donni was the music supervisor and arranger for SQf’s album “Buat Kamu”.

Live Show Formation

Musicians who contribute their gift during the live shows are members of SQf community.
